“The Flanagan one was false," he said.
"I think the same journalist said Junior is going to Cronulla, and that’s false and I’ve spoken to Craig Fitzgibbon.

As for the performance on Sunday afternoon, O'Brien tried his best not to make excuses - but at the end of the day, his side are down on troops and it showed in the way they played.
“I thought we didn’t make life real easy for ourselves early on. I think we were like three from our first nine, or five from 11 or something like that," he said.

“If you’re not going to hang onto the footy, your contact has got to be sound. Unfortunately, we were off a fair way.
“Don’t think I’m giving excuses here – but you take seven out of Penrith’s side and they get beat. We’ve had about 7-8 out every single week. That can be a little bit frustrating, because it does sound like an excuse and it has taken me a while to look at it that way.
"There is a lot of key personnel that are going to help, but the one thing that I spoke to the group about is that we need to lay some really solid foundations about your first contact and completions. It won’t matter if those guys come back and we dish that up.
“There’s a bit of added spice to this one. They understand that there won’t be some nice things written about them tonight and tomorrow.
